About Simone

A former Royal Navy officer, Simone brings leadership, discipline, and lived experience from military service into everything she builds and leads. Her work spans sectors and communities, and she has grown a network of more than 120,000 people across business, public sector, education, and community spaces.

Simone Roche MBE is the founder of We Are PoWEr, Northern PoWEr Women Awards, and PoWEr Collective CIC, organisations dedicated to accelerating gender equality, wider inclusion, and social mobility, creating a brighter future for all, particularly in the world of work.

Through her platforms and initiatives, Simone has helped generate more than £12.3 million in social value, creating communities and opportunities that connect, elevate, and celebrate.

Simone was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2018 for services to gender equality. She was also appointed Honorary Captain in the Royal Navy in 2020 in recognition of her leadership.

Her work has been recognised on the Yahoo Finance Heroes List in 2018, 2019 and 2020, and she received the IoD North West Chair's Award for Excellence in 2020.
